MLAHA

Welcome to Moose Lake Area Hockey Association website.

We strive to provide every child in our program the opportunity to develop and grow as a hockey player, as an individual and as a team member.

If you are interested in being part of the exciting changes happening within MLAHA, there are several positions available within MLAHA for the year.

In particular we are still looking for a CONCESSION MANAGER and folks interested in learning to drive the zamboni or sharpen skates.  Please contact any of the board members with questions about how you can help shape the association.

Gaming.   These activities provide significant support to the association.  Support pulltabs at Gampers and Muni.   Bingo on Thursday nights at the municipal and meat raffle every Saturday .

Fundraising committee has begun the capital fund drive for the new expansion and currently has nearly $150,000 in pledges and several large grants in waiting.  Please see the information on Arena expansion, and consider your personal level of committment.  The $600,000 bonding request will begin its journey through the legislature soon.  Be ready to write letters of support when requested!!!

District playoffs

MLAHA will be hosting the District 11 Peewee B district playoffs  February 17-19.  This is association wide event.  We will need all teams to volunteer time to help make this tournament work.  We know some teams are out of town, so the rest of us need to help out.  This is a great weekend of hockey!!  Come help our boys out and cheer them on to STATE!!!!

MLAHA Fundraising

This year, for our second association fundraiser, we will be doing a 50/50 raffle. Distribution of the tickets will be the first week of February and collection will take place through the month of February.  The drawing will be held @ Gampers on March 8th 2012 at 8pm. There will be only 1000 tickets sold @ a price of $10 each meaning if all tickets are sold, we would give away $5000 and the association would keep $5000.

We are asking that each family be responsible for and sell one book of tickets (10). If anyone feels that they want to sell more than one book, No problem!!! Just let us know

What we need to do now is get to the tickets distributed ASAP. We need the team representatives to contact Vern or Vicki with a list of the families and or players so we can document and assign tickets accordingly and have the reps give them out to the families.

When a book is completely sold, we are asking that the tickets stubs and money be turned into the team rep, Vern Anderson, or Vicki Cisar ASAP. Please keep in mind that the State of Minnesota highly regulates raffles under charitable gambling laws, so all tickets and money need to be accounted for; (sold, unsold, and lost tickets).

Please contact Vern Anderson (218-522-0301) or Vicki Cisar (651-238-3365) with any questions.

Thank you all for your efforts!
